Therapy

If you’ve clicked onto this page then you might be noticing that something isn’t quite right in your life at the moment. It could be that you are experiencing relationship troubles? You’re noticing that you are stuck in the same old patterns? You’re finding it hard to cope with life events right now? You’ve lost a vitality for life? You’re looking for support for a specific life event? You’re dealing with traumatic events in your life?

Whatever it may be, I invite you to explore the variety of ways in which I can support you. I offer this space to adults and/or adolescents to explore the challenging times, potential causes and a place to make sense and resolve these issues with the intention of achieving a sense of liberation to whatever you were being troubled by.

I am an Integrative Counsellor, which means I draw on different elements of therapies to help with your exploration or inquiry.

I have an eclectic background trained in Addiction Psychology, Play Therapy and most recently Compassionate Inquiry with Dr Gabor Matè.

EXPERIENCE

I started training as an addictions counsellor (2007) whilst working in a homeless hostel with clients with addiction issues. After the transition into education I was drawn back into counselling qualifying as a play therapist and working in a number of schools across London with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties. I am a Certified Compassionate Inquiry practitioner (2020), which is an approach developed by the wonderful Dr Gabor Maté, and this forms a huge part of the base for the way I approach much of the counselling I do today.

I have worked with children, adults and families from all over the world for a number of reasons:

·       Adoption

·       Addiction - substance use and behavioural addictions

·       Anxiety, OCD

·       Emotional/behavioural issues

·       Depression

·       ADHD, Autism, Down syndrome, Selective Mutism

·       Stress

·       Trauma

·       Relationship Issues

·       Divorce

·       Health Issues
