The Caring Instinct membership is a support group for parents that meets twice a month and has free access to all our upcoming webinars.

How is being a member of The Caring Instinct support group different from talking about parenting with friends?

1.      It is purpose-built. We might not want to burden friends by talking about our problems – or brag about our wins. The Caring Instinct group is all about the joys and struggles of raising children. It is capped at 10 members. There is always time for you.

2.      It is supportive and non-judgemental. There is no competition to win or lose.
We are all imperfect. We all have the power to be the parent our child needs, especially with regular support.

3.      It is a place to be heard and to listen. When we share with friends, what we often receive is well-meaning advice. At best, it works for your situation, but it does not build your own parenting confidence. At worst, it makes you feel more isolated, especially if your parenting values do not align with your friends’. The solution is usually inside you, but you need to complete an emotional journey to access it. As much as we are in awe of this process, it is not mysterious. It is simply how the human mind works. The group is not here to bombard you with premature solutions, but to support your own journey. We are your sounding board, not a jury or an expert committee.

4.      It stands on the foundation of the latest in developmental science. The culture in which we are raising children is badly out of sync with the latest in psychology and neuroscience. We default to the tired mechanism of positive / negative reinforcement, which reflects a shallow understanding of human behaviour. Joe and Olga will be talking about how the mind of a child works, why children need to play, how they learn, how they build relationships, how we can keep their hearts safe and their minds curious – and many other topics that fit together like a puzzle to provide a developmental perspective and restore parents to their natural intuition – their caring instinct.

In short, The Caring Instinct membership includes: two 60-minute Zoom meetings a month facilitated by Joe and Olga, at midday on Fridays UK time. The group is capped at 10 people (everyone has a chance to be heard!). The topics for the meetings are set by you. The group can decide on an aspect of parenting to talk about in advance or spontaneously.

Free access to our monthly webinars (live webinars are free to everyone, but members get recordings for free too).

If you are interested in joining, please email us at hello@thecaringinstinct.com before paying. Once we have enough people, we will set up a start date and invite you to pay.

I would absolutely recommend. It was pleasure to set time aside each week to think about new ideas together with a great group of like minded parents.
— Parent
Joe and Olga’s parenting group helped me look at the emotions of my child more carefully. It sent me on an introspective journey to explore my emotions and reactions to how my child behaves and acts. I realised my child teaches me so many things and shows me what I need to explore and accept in myself.

I will recommend it because it is interesting and useful, after the course I feel more confident as a parent and it’s great!

Joe and Olga give you the confidence to talk and share your own feelings about parenting. They are very supportive and offer you advice if you are struggling with a particular topic. I really like the concepts we discussed during the meetings; they were spot on!
